The short version
- Analytics and marketing cookies run on this website only if you agree. Until you choose, and if you choose Reject all, nothing loads from other companies.
- Analytics cookies come from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Marketing cookies come from Meta Pixel, Google and HubSpot, which also runs the chat on this site.
- We keep your choice for 6 months. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
- Inside the Frontroom app, once you are signed in, only cookies that are strictly necessary are used. Its sign-in and sign-up pages follow the choice you make here.
Your choices
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you allow analytics cookies, marketing cookies, both or neither. Accept all and Reject all take one click each, and Choose lets you decide for each kind. We keep your choice for 6 months and then ask again. If we add a tool to a kind of cookie you allowed, we ask you again sooner.
You can change your mind at any time. Choose Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, or use the button below. When you turn a kind of cookie off, we delete the cookies it set on frontroom.ai and stop loading its tools. Cookies that other companies set on their own websites, such as facebook.com, can be deleted in your browser settings.
Strictly necessary
These are always on, because the site needs them to work and to respect your choice. The law allows them without consent.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
fr_consent | Frontroom | Remembers your cookie choice, for this website and the app's sign-in and sign-up pages. A copy is kept in your browser's local storage under the same name. | 6 months |
Our network provider, which delivers the site and protects it from attacks, may also set a security cookie in rare cases, for example to check that traffic is not automated. That cookie is used only for security.
Analytics cookies
With your permission, these show us how people find and use this site, so we can make it better. They load only after you choose Accept all or turn Analytics on.
- Google Analytics, from Google, counts visits and shows which pages people use, where they come from and which buttons they choose. It does not store your IP address. Google keeps the data for up to 14 months.
- Microsoft Clarity, from Microsoft, records how visitors move through pages, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and shows it to us as heatmaps and replays. It hides what you type into forms. Microsoft keeps replays for 30 days and summary data for up to 13 months.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor from another, so we can count visitors without knowing who they are. | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit. | 2 years |
_clck | Microsoft Clarity | Keeps your Clarity ID and settings, so visits from the same browser are linked. | 1 year |
_clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Joins the pages of one visit into one replay. | 1 day |
CLID | Microsoft Clarity, on clarity.ms | Recognises the same browser across websites that use Clarity. | 1 year |
MUID | Microsoft, on bing.com | Microsoft's browser ID, used by Clarity. | 1 year |
Marketing cookies
With your permission, these tell us whether our adverts bring people to this site, let us show our adverts to people who have visited it, and run the chat on this site. They load only after you choose Accept all or turn Marketing on. If you leave Marketing off, the chat does not appear: you can always email us instead.
- Meta Pixel, from Meta, records visits to this site and clicks on Start free and Book a demo, and matches them with our adverts on Facebook and other Meta services. Meta keeps and uses this data under its own privacy policy.
- Google advertising features. If you allow marketing, Google Analytics may also use your visit to measure our Google adverts. If you do not, we tell Google not to use it for adverts.
- HubSpot, from HubSpot, is our customer records system. It runs the chat on this site and records which pages you visit, so that if you write to us, we can see what you were looking at. HubSpot keeps this data in its EU data centre. We turn HubSpot's own cookie banner off, because this site asks you once for everything.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta Pixel | Tells one browser from another, to measure our adverts. | 90 days |
_fbc | Meta Pixel | Keeps the advert click ID when you arrive from one of our adverts on Meta. | 90 days |
fr | Meta, on facebook.com | Set by Meta if you are signed in to Facebook. Meta uses it to show and measure adverts. | 90 days |
_gcl_au | Links visits to our Google adverts, when we run them. | 90 days | |
__hstc | HubSpot | HubSpot's main visit cookie: tells one browser from another and records when you first and last visited. | 6 months |
hubspotutk | HubSpot | Links your visits to your details if you send us a message, so we do not end up with the same person twice. | 6 months |
__hssc | HubSpot | Keeps track of the current visit. | 30 minutes |
__hssrc | HubSpot | Notes when the browser was restarted, to count visits correctly. | Until you close the browser |
messagesUtk | HubSpot chat | Recognises you in the chat, so an earlier conversation can be shown again. | 6 months |
hs-messages-is-open | HubSpot chat | Remembers whether the chat window is open. | 30 minutes |
hs-messages-hide-welcome-message | HubSpot chat | Stops the chat's welcome message from showing again after you close it. | 1 day |
__cf_bm | HubSpot's network provider, on HubSpot's own domains | Protects HubSpot's servers from automated traffic. | 30 minutes |
HubSpot also keeps a few entries in your browser's storage while it sends its records, such as __hmpl and hublytics_events_53. We delete them, with HubSpot's cookies, if you turn Marketing off.
What we measure
When you allow the tools above, they also note when you choose Start free, Book a demo, Get a price or Ask about cameras, and when you finish signing up in the app, so we can see which pages and adverts bring us new customers. We never send them your name or email address.
We use Google Consent Mode, which passes your choice on to Google's tools. If we load these tools through Google Tag Manager, it loads only after you allow analytics or marketing, sets no cookies of its own and follows your choice.
The Frontroom app, app.frontroom.ai
The app uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work: to keep you signed in, to protect your session against misuse, and to remember settings such as your language. The law allows these without consent because the app cannot work without them. We do not use them for advertising or to follow you around the web. If you block them in your browser, you will not be able to sign in.
The app has no cookie banner of its own: its sign-in and sign-up pages follow the choice you made on this website. If you allowed analytics or marketing cookies here, those pages can use the same Google Analytics and Meta Pixel tools, for example to count a new sign-up. If you did not, or have not chosen yet, they load nothing from other companies. Once you are signed in, these tools are never used. To change your choice, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page on this website.
To see which features are used, our servers send Mixpanel and Amplitude pseudonymous counts, such as a sign-in or a paid till order. This uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Our privacy policy has the details.
